The Country Music Association has announced the performer lineup for “CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton,” a two-hour live television tribute to the country music icon.
The special is scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, from 9 to 11 p.m. ET on ABC and Disney+ in the United States and internationally. It will be available on Hulu the following day. Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Ella Langley, Brad Paisley and Lainey Wilson are among the performers.
CMA and ABC announced these performers on October 5: Ashley McBryde, Béla Fleck, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Ella Langley, Kelsea Ballerini, Kristen Bell, Kristin Chenoweth, Lady A, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Lukas Nelson, Molly Tuttle, Reba McEntire, Ricky Skaggs, Sierra Hull, Vince Gill and Zac Brown.
Amy Grant and Kimberly Williams-Paisley will appear as special guests. A Belmont University student ensemble will also participate, and CMA says there will be additional surprise tributes from Parton’s friends across the entertainment world. CMA has not announced which songs individual artists will perform.
Reba McEntire, Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs bring decades of country music history to the program. Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Little Big Town represent another generation of stars, while Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini and Carly Pearce connect the special to current country audiences.
Béla Fleck, Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull bring bluegrass into the mix. Kristen Bell and Kristin Chenoweth reflect the reach of Parton’s work beyond Nashville and into film, television and theater.
Parton’s songs, including “Jolene,” “9 to 5” and “I Will Always Love You,” became familiar well beyond country radio. Several performers have personal musical links to her: Brad Paisley and Parton recorded the 2005 duet “When I Get Where I’m Going,” and Carrie Underwood has performed “I Will Always Love You.”
The broadcast will come from Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville before a live audience. Belmont’s “Dolly U” initiative gives students opportunities to learn from Parton’s music, career and entrepreneurial work, and a university student ensemble will take part in the show.
CMA says proceeds connected with the event will benefit Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, the book-gifting program she founded for children. Robert Deaton is the special’s executive producer.
“CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton” airs live Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern on ABC and Disney+. Viewers can stream it on Hulu the next day.
With 20 performers announced and surprise tributes still to come, the October 21 program will bring together artists from several corners of the entertainment world to celebrate Parton’s music and legacy.
